In October, we announced the news that we had made the finals of the BIFA Freight Services Awards, and with the ‘finalist award’ already banked, the winners are due to be announced at a glittering award ceremony this week – sometime after lunch on Thursday 19th January.

The big day has crept up on us, following closely behind Christmas and the New Year, and we are delighted to have made the grade in the European Logistics category, which is a fantastic achievement that may have been beyond our expectations eighteen months ago.

While we have always offered services to and from the continent, during the past eighteen months we have elevated our position to be amongst the leading independent European service providers in the UK.

By looking at Brexit as an opportunity, rather than a hurdle, our proactive approach has enabled us to develop our own inhouse European services to and from multiple locations, expand our European team to over 20 members and to open two new offices.

The awards ceremony on Thursday will be the 34th annual version of the event, which is still recognised as the most prestigious in the industry. Of course, we will have everything crossed when ex-footballer Kevin Keegan announces the winner in our category, but are honoured just to be in with a shout.
