Torrential rain has led to major delays around the port and city of Vancouver in the past 24 hours, which has effectively been cut off from the rest of the country.

A huge storm has battered southern parts of British Columbia, causing landslides and washing away sections of major highways.

Rail links have been heavily disrupted and at least one train has been derailed during the storm. All major services linking Vancouver with the rest of the country have been cancelled for now.

This is the second time this year that Vancouver has been impacted by severe weather. In July, extreme heat and fires forced rail carriers to postpone services on their networks.

As we reported recently, logistics in Vancouver had been suffering with heavily congested warehousing in recent weeks, which has been impacting many of our Amazon fulfilment customers.

This latest development on the storm means that we have no access to products in warehouse right now, although they remain safe in racking. Road damages and closures have led to major courier companies being unable to collect at this moment in time.

We are monitoring the situation closely, in the meantime Amazon fulfilment customers should contact us if they have concerns about current orders.
