The widely reported issues affecting passage through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal continue to impact the supply chain, specifically, equipment shortages and availability of space which are continually evolving pieces of the same puzzle.

To assist our customers we are politely requesting information relating to forward forecasting for shipments into the next quarter of the year.

This information will allow us to effectively plan for both equipment availability and capacity in an attempt to mitigate wherever possible, potential delays and lack of availability that could affect the day to day operation of your business.

Advising us your: Anticipated shipment volumes for Q3 and Q4 2024

Our commitment to providing you with exceptional service remains constant, especially amidst the fluctuating conditions we are experiencing in the global supply chain.

We’ve never been afraid of rolling our sleeves up and getting in amongst it on behalf of our customers, so we are reaching out to request your assistance in helping us better anticipate and prepare for your future needs, especially in light of the current challenges facing Far East and Southeast Asia Services.

Capacity and equipment shortages have returned for Asia ocean freight movements, with market conditions beginning to resemble those that followed the pandemic. In addition Far East and Southeast Asia services are currently experiencing widespread capacity issues due to:

  • Increases in demand ahead of the traditional peak season.
  • Extended journey times
  • Delayed schedules.
  • Carriers’ blanked sailing programs.

Unsurprisingly, these factors have caused ocean freight rates to spiral upwards. Despite already implementing a General Rate Increase (GRI) this month, carriers are applying further increases to accept bookings. Equipment shortages at some origin points are also contributing to very challenging conditions.

To navigate these disruptions effectively and continue to meet your needs, we are kindly requesting projected volume information for the upcoming quarters. Accurate forecasts will allow us to effectively plan for both equipment availability and capacity which will assist us in pre-empting potential delays which could affect the supply chain.
