The Port of Yantian is the latest Chinese port to be struggling with congestion issues and has introduced new measures.

This week, we have witnessed significant queues of vehicles approaching the port, which has led to delays in getting containers on and off the terminal.

In response the Port has now announced that it will only accept export containers that are delivered within 4 days of the departure date.

The issues continue to vary in China, depending on the port of exit, as we fast approach Chinese New Year.

The situation in Ningbo has eased somewhat, but delays are being experienced at Tianjin, Shenzhen, and now Yantian.

Meanwhile, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai and Xiamen are operating relatively normally.

We continue to recommend that customers contact a member of our team before arranging urgent orders or should you require further information.
