Port of Felixstowe workers have now given two weeks notice of their intention to hold a second strike at the UK’s largest container port.

82% of Unite union members that were balloted, voted in favour of the industrial action, which has been confirmed for eight days from September 27th.

Last week, bosses at Felixstowe implemented their pay increase offer of 7% + £500, without the union’s agreement, but the union’s members chose to strike anyway.

The Unite union are also responsible for the dock workers that are due to walk out at Liverpool for two weeks from 19th September, which means that the two strikes with overlap.
