Ryan began his working life in the family construction business, before moving quickly into the completely different, yet demanding, industry of logistics and supply chain.

Ryan now has over 25 years of immersive experience that has encapsulated every important facet within this busy and fast paced industry. This includes ocean freight, air freight, road freight, customs formalities, warehousing, fulfilment and distribution, along with key account management roles for global brands.

Ryan thrives in assisting businesses to make improvements to their overall supply chain, using analytical and personally tried and tested methods to identify time and cost reductions.

More recently, Ryan has spent considerable time helping smaller companies get started with international movements and then provided them with supply chain support and guidance as they scale.

Danny has successfully worked in the logistics and supply chain sector for his entire working career, which now spans more than 27 years. Holding key positions at prominent freight forwarders previously, he acquired hands-on experience across multiple transport modes and functions that he is able to draw from successfully today.

After many years of gaining operational experience, Danny ventured into the commercial side of the business, securing and serving customers by creating long term relationships built on trust, integrity and mutual respect.

It has been his ability to nurture and develop relationships that has seen him build an excellent network portfolio of colleagues and working partnerships all over the world, which is continuing to benefit Westbound and its customers.

Danny is responsible for honing the personal service experience that Westbound have become renowned for. This is all based on an ability to listen to what the customer actually needs, before identifying tailored solutions to match.

Michael has over 20 years of experience in this industry, in both China mainland and Hong Kong. Michael has witnessed rapid growth and many changes within the logistics industry over time. He possesses comprehensive management, development experience and an extensive personnel network in all aspects, included airfreight, sea freight, warehousing and logistics. In these years he also spent lots of effort on studying and developing cross border e-commerce logistics, included Amazon and domestic e-commerce business.

James has worked in the Logistics industry since 1986. In the early years it was always for blue chip companies. James’ initiation into Logistics straight from school was for Sir Alan Sugar at Amstrad. (That makes for a few good stories so make sure you ask him when you get the chance!) The experience created good foundations as to what should be expected within the industry. James’s career has given him the chance to work within most sectors of Logistics, as the customer, in warehouses, transport and now international freight forwarding with Westbound Logistics.

This early experience seeing Logistics from all sides, means James is an all-rounder go-to person within the business; knowing what the customer needs and what a freight forwarder needs to do in order to be the best. It was this skillset that brought around the proudest moment of James’ career so far, being appointed a Director of Westbound Logistics in 2018.

James is a people’s person, ensuring the very best man-management of the Westbound Logistics staff to ensure we all work as a team.

James enjoys the challenge of what a Freight Forwarder needs to provide, all day, every day.

Martin has 35 (and counting) years’ experience in the industry and having managed all aspects from National/International Logistics, warehousing, fulfilment for both B2C and B2B to what my role is now; business development.
