Shanghai Heading Back Towards Normality

After seven weeks of lockdown, it looks as though Shanghai is finally heading back towards normality, with the hope that restrictions are eased considerably in the next few days.

Logistics services in the region have been heavily hampered during the past few weeks, but we have witnessed distinct signs of recovery since the Labour Day holiday.

Westbound intend to reintroduce our LCL consolidation service from Shanghai during the next few days, taking fast action to accommodate the expected rise in output.

As many of you will know, the situation in Shanghai led to us switching the service to Ningbo during the lockdown period and, in some cases, levelling off local charges to accommodate Shanghai shippers.

It may be that some suppliers are unable to deliver certain locations due to permit restrictions with their trucking suppliers. Therefore, our LCL services will be receiving and operating from both our Shanghai and Ningbo warehouses again shortly.

During these difficult times in China, LCL may be an ideal solution to improve the flow of products and avoid supply chain disruption.
